I am so thankful for this curriculum! When I purchased it I thought the assignments looked like a lot! They were much more intense than the prep year and I was afraid that my daughter would feel overwhelmed BUT she is doing really well and seems to enjoy her work (some days have bad attitudes). I am especially thankful for the grammar, Greek, and Latin lessons. It is so nice that the lessons are scheduled out so that we know how much to do at a time. We don’t worry about keeping all the scheduled assignments for the week pages but just do the next lesson for each subject. I am so thankful for how the grammar exercises give lots of practice and that the answers are included. I’ve been learning too as I’ve helped my daughter to understand. We haven’t done much of the history reading for this year because of sticking to a co-op we were already in, but when it is time for my next daughter I will have her do the whole thing.

My daughter loves that she has her own book with assignments and can now work independently on her own. Ten is the perfect age to start with the Later Knowledge guides. There was definitely a shift in her desire to take responsibility for her own schoolwork this year, and this is definitely helping guide her.
